HitRECord Music Collections

Post by njlang »

There are so many great records of all kinds, but when I discovered HitRECord in 2016, I was most-interested in music collaboration.

It was immediately clear that this community had so much talent and inspirational work available to build upon and I began collecting records to remix.

I also wanted to check out what everyone else was doing too, and so I made it a daily routine to check out all the new audio records.

Initially I started collecting instrumentals that I thought I might like to topline vocals on. But my record collections expanded over time. If I was going to take the time to listen to all these records chronologically, I felt a responsibility to be sure to add the best records to various albums as I went. Not just for me, but for anyone else to be able to utilize as well.

I covered a lot of ground and kept notes of which time periods I covered so that I could always resume the comprehensive record exploration where I left off.

I have listened through all the music audio records from:
2009: approximately 385 records
2010: approximately 14,100 records
2016: approximately 25,564 records
2017: approximately 11,826 records
2018: approximately 12,472 records
2019: approximately 1,195 records
2022: approximately 1,121 records
2023: approximately 433 records

I have NOT yet comprehensively explored the music audio records from:
2011: approximately 8,346 records
2012: approximately 10,874 records
2013: approximately 16,414 records
2014: approximately 14,100 records
2015: approximately 11,292 records
2020: approximately 1,588 records
2021: approximately 1,172 records

Over the years I have listened through over 65,000 records and have curated right around 12,000 of those records into various collections.

Whether you are looking for records to remix or simply to enjoy, you may find some of my music collections here:

You can also play audio/video records from any user, keyword, or album (aka collection).
For example, I am currently listening to theboxsets' album of Audio Re-RECs
